Chambers Expands Blanca CRE’s Healthcare Leasing Portfolio to 1.6 Million Square Feet Across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties

Blanca Commercial Real Estate is proud to announce the promotion of Christie Grays Chambers to Vice President, Lead of Healthcare Practice and Lead of Culture and Inclusion. With over 25 years of experience in commercial real estate and healthcare, Chambers has been instrumental in expanding Blanca CRE’s healthcare leasing portfolio by 1M square feet since joining the firm in 2021.

Under Chambers’ leadership, the firm’s healthcare portfolio has grown from one client with five medical office buildings to nine clients with 25 medical office buildings, totaling 1.6 million square feet across Miami-Dade and Broward counties. In her three years at Blanca CRE, Chambers has successfully negotiated numerous new lease agreements with hospital systems, healthcare practices and independent physicians. Additionally, she has played a pivotal role in renewing a significant percentage of existing tenants, leading to improved occupancy across the firm’s client assets.

Before her tenure at Blanca CRE, she held leasing broker roles at Cushman & Wakefield, Codina Realty, and Duke Realty, further solidifying her expertise in the sector. At Blanca CRE, Chambers has played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s healthcare practice, contributing to the firm’s leadership in this specialized market.

In the first quarter of 2024, Chambers was nationally recognized by Healthcare Realty, Blanca CRE’s largest healthcare client, as Healthcare Realty’s Broker of the Quarter, alongside two other Blanca CRE colleagues. Notably, she achieved 100% occupancy in two medical office buildings that had previously been only 50% occupied. Moreover, in collaboration with Blanca CRE’s top investment sales broker, Chambers successfully completed the sale of a 48,000-square-foot specialty hospital and secured a listing for a property zoned for a medical office building.

Blanca Commercial Real Estate announced the acquisition of Lakeshore Plaza II, located at 1300 Concord Terrace in Sunrise.

The five-story, Class A office building is the newest building located in Sawgrass International Corporate Park.

CBRE, represented by Chris Lee and Sean Kelly, alongside Blanca Commercial Real Estate, represented by Chris Gallagher, Christina Stine Jolley, and Andres Del Corral facilitated the transaction on behalf of the seller. The property was bought by Galium Capital.

Galium Capital, a real estate investment firm based in Miami, has officially expanded their Florida office portfolio with the strategic purchase of Lakeshore Plaza II. Featuring 128,550 square feet of premium office space, Lakeshore Plaza II offers a well-located, Class A office environment with modern amenities. Galium Capital plans to implement upgrades to further enhance the tenant experience and boost the property’s appeal. With its proactive approach and financial resources, Galium Capital is poised to create value for tenants while strengthening its presence in the South Florida market.

Blanca Commercial Real Estate will remain the exclusive leasing agent for the property.
